Blitz - Wednesday, August 31, 2011 @ 2:40 AM
Credits: Dickson(Designer), Farhan(Producer), Isaac(Programmer), Wilson(Art), Fazlee(Sound)
Originally Titled as Wisperia, Blitz is my team's Final Year Project's game. The core mechanic of the game is the act of tethering where players control the wisp, the protagonist of the game, to humans so that he may move around in the world. I was the main designer for this project and focused on coming out with the main mechanics and the contents of the game. I always feel that a game should always have an interesting storyline to tie in with it and allow the players to feel more connected to the game. Thus, i also came up with a simple story for Blitz so players actually felt that what they did in the game had a meaning. The game takes place in Orchard Road, Singapore and through this game, we wanted players to know more about Singapore and the popular places in the country, The objective of this game is get the wisp into the three buildings and complete the mini game in them and finally enter the last building to win the game. Right now, this game is still a work in progress. We will be touching up the graphics and possibly implementing more content in the game which will be updated on this blog. Planar Chronicles - Monday, January 31, 2011 @ 7:39 AM
Credits: Dickson, Biyuan, Nigel (Artist)
A fairly engaging card game in theory where me and a couple of friends worked on for our school project. I was the sub-designer of the game and also came up with the backstory and setting of the game. I wanted an interesting story to come with the game because i wanted players to feel more engaged while playing the game and to also know the various characters in it. Download link for Planar Chronicles's backstory Please bear in mind both the story and game is still a work in progress and i will be constantly updating it as we finish the game up together with images. |

Pacman Legacy - Sunday, January 30, 2011 @ 10:24 PM
Analog Game Theory Project Game Type: Card game for two players. Credits:Dickson, Skyph, Farah (artist), Pei shi, He min Game Overview A simple yet engaging card game with art inspired by the game Pacman with elements of RPG where players are able to engage monster in battle to level up and buy items aid them in winning the game. Both players share a deck of cards call the Action deck in which 5 cards are given to each player at the start of the game. Playing an action cards requires an action point in which players are given 3 at the start of each turn. At the start of the first player's turn, event cards will be played from a separate deck of cards call the event deck in which both players must follow the rules as stipulated on the card until a new event card is played. After five rounds in which monster have leveled up as well, the boss will appear and the first player to defeat the boss will be declared the winner. The boss however is no pushover and will require the players to use their action cards and items in order to beat it. Images |
